Just a reminder we will be closed at the Jacksonville location for Valentines day. Spend it with your loved ones!
Cabot location plans for Valentines, please defer to Master Cossey.
We Are Expecting Bad Weather Monday, February 13th!!
At the Cabot location, if Cabot Public Schools are closed for bad whether, the Cabot studio is closed. Same with Jacksonville, if the Jacksonville School system (Pulaski County Special School District) is closed because of bad whether then the studio is closed. This is for safety. If conditions become good in the afternoon, we may revise and if it is safe (no threat of ice, etc.) we may open the school. That announcement will be on the website for both locations.

My apologies, it is the time of year when our contract renews and the instructor must get his pass to get on base renewed. Originally, we hoped to have it covered but we have had some folks get sick and we are not able to get Mr. Yowell on base today. Classes will be scheduled for normal times next week as all the id card issues will or should be resolved this friday.
In the meantime, if you have not already planned to, please consider coming out to the offbase location tomorrow Thursday! 1904 McArthur Drive, Jacksonville, AR. If you need directions, please call me on my cell phone at 501-743-1136.
Thank you for your understanding,
Jamie |

As I have told our students, we performed an experiment wherein we moved UFAF 1 and 2 out of the under black belt curriculum and into the Black Belt curriculum. I have come to the conclusion that this was a mistake. The moves in UFAF are very basic, and while their are a great many moves and they are sometimes difficult for students to memorize, the advantages to the under black belt students is enormous. It is good to have a challenging form around Blue Belt level and UFAF forms are excellent at helping students learn to move and learn to execute combinations with a natural "fighting" flow.
I have as promised posted UFAF 1 Part 1 for the students review in the member's only section. Thanks! |
